Excellent, thanks you Peter
Yes, i’m aware that jqxWindow already supports collapse(minimize) functionality, that’s the reason why i suggested the taskbar.
I hesitate for the best way to implement this component and would be curious to have your thinking on it :
– the first way is the classical display and behaviour of a MillerColumn
– the second way, saving horizontal scrolling and allowing to better focus on condensed information where there are a lot of entries (which is almost always true or we would not use millercolums), would be to use for each colum (and each entry when applicable) the jqxNavigationBar component.
What is your thinking about this ?
May 9, 2012 at 10:09 pm in reply to: How to customize rows appearance ? How to customize rows appearance ? #4034Thanks, i understand.
Still one more example, different but interesting and useful : the possibility to display entries with some kind of thumbails http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/09/evernote-updates-mac-and-ios-appsMay 7, 2012 at 4:36 pm in reply to: How to customize rows appearance ? How to customize rows appearance ? #3953A feature that allow html customization will be great to have almost complete control on row appearance.
Actual grid appearance is the classic one, all widgets suite present it the same and it is ueful for classic use like business app. That’s a pity to limit the appearance to such a point as grid capabilities would also be useful in other contexts where appearance is a criteria of choice for users and actually grids don’t have any “sex appeal”. Would you use the grids components we know if you were the developer of gameduel web site ? or bookmaker sites ? on betfair ? on web sites offering templates ? and the examples go on… that would look like out of context but paradoxically, they all use grid “features”.
Is there a section where we can vote for future widgets ?
Fair enough. If you release such interesting widgets in a separated “Pro package”, i would also buy it.
It’s worth it when original components with real added values are proposed.I sent you references by mail, the demo link showing the behaviour.
I would also add results of search in each active column.
A click on one of the results shows only the “Miller path” driving to itHello Peter,
But outside of actual jQWidgets scope (or in the scope of considering integration in the future), what is your thinking about the provided description, any comments ?
Best Regards
Thanks for the information.
Like you did with me regarding the rules, it’s really useful to point some information with a url.
That does not only save time to the person writing the post and allow the person to be as clear as possible, it’s also help the reader to have a brief and simple explanation going directly to the essential meaning without wasting time.Regarding the rules, that let 2 choices :
– either just explain by text but sometimes that bring one to three paragraphs to explain some things. So do the forum rule allow for example to import materials from a web site without mensioning its name, url ? ie images for example.
– mailing you and avoid forum which is a solution but we lost the forum advantages like sharing and improving ideas and participations among many.
And about the containeer… what do you think of ? :))
It seems there is no link on “Context Menu with Tree”. I use firefox 11.0 under winxp
Thanks you
Thanks, it’s excellent, very cool you publish roadmaps.
Regarding the forum, i checked “Notify me of follow-up replies via email” but i don’t receive any notification. -
