Sorting, Filtering, Searching by using rendergridrows , not ajax in source

I followed this example (http://www.jqwidgets.com/jquery-widgets-demo/demos/jqxgrid/index.htm#demos/jqxgrid/virtualdata.htm) and done the server side paging. But now I am facing an issue , all of the server side paging demos with sorting ,filtering ,searching are handled by the source (I mean calling Ajax request in the source). Now is there any way I can achieve the same with the rendergrid rows method itself(http://www.jqwidgets.com/jquery-widgets-demo/demos/jqxgrid/index.htm#demos/jqxgrid/virtualdata.htm) . Please reply me.

Hello Sibeesh,

The only way to achieve this is by Ajax calls to the server. It is recommended to make these in the respective source callback functions – filter and sort. Your approach is not recommended, because you would have to load a large number of records in rendergridrows, then implement the logic for filter and sort and finally return the sorted/filtered records. This would significantly reduce the performance of your grid.

Dear Dimitar,

Thanks a lot for the reply. But I Have already called an Ajax call in the rendergridrows function. And I am taking only 10 rows per call (max 100). So performance will be good enough. Since I am using ADOMD as my source, none of your demo’s are suitable for my requirement, that is why I have chosen this method.Please help me through this. Please share any demo’s related to this requirement if you have such a one. Thanks in advance.\
