jQuery UI Widgets › Forums › Chart › series labels click event
This topic contains 3 replies, has 2 voices, and was last updated by Hristo 8 years, 1 month ago.
hi,
is it possible to attach a click event to series labels?
https://www.jqwidgets.com/jquery-widgets-demo/demos/jqxchart/index.htm#demos/jqxchart/javascript_chart_column_series_labels.htm
For example in the demo above, is it possible to click on a label like 58K and get the Singapore value and use it to call another function?
I need this because some columns with value 1 or 2 are so small that they are barely visible, therefore really hard to click on.
Thanks.
Hello aykutucar,
If you have values with a too big difference between them.
For this purpose, you could use the logarithmicScale: true.
Please, take a look at this demo

Thank you for the suggestion but it didn’t work.
I have 1 and 1138 values next to each other and I tried with different logarithmicScaleBase values but 1 is still not visible at all.
Does that mean that it is not possible to attach a click event to series labels?
Thanks.
Hello aykutucar,
You could try to set the valueAxis.minValue: 0.1.
Could you provide us with a simplified example of your scenario?
Yes, there is a click event. Please, take a look at this demo:
