Search menu entries and highlight results

Hello,

I’d like to create a searchable menu. The menu itself would have about 100+ nested entries and a search box above it. As the user types in the search box, the matching menu entries should be highlighted and expanded if necessary. For this, I figure I would need a highlightItem method – any ideas?

I can see a workaround here, where instead of highlighting the matching entries, you would clear the tree and only show the matching entries. However I don’t see how I can show the matching entry in its original hierarchy, which would be preferable.

Any ideas would be greatly welcome.
