Maintain additional field in cells

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement to maintain an additional value/ id on cell level on treegrid. This is to cross reference another json which has additional data on the backend. When adding data to a cell is it possible to add an extra/ hidden field which I could refer on cell click?

I was checking on the link : https://www.jqwidgets.com/jquery-widgets-documentation/documentation/jqxgrid/jquery-grid-cellsrendering.htm and did not find any resource to do this task.

It would be great if you experts could provide with any examples in doing this or to check if this is possible in jqxtreegrid?

I tried the documentation and could not make up the logic to bind extra values to a cell. Is it possible via refrences: as shown here: http://www.jqwidgets.com/community/topic/json-mapping-for-tree/ .

A sample code snippet would be very much helpful 🙂

Hi,

I got about this another way. I assigned the additional data to the tree source. and bound only the data required to the column. With this method when I click a row, the data retrieved contains the data which was to assigned to a column 🙂
