    Hi,
I tryed to load my theme, build with the theme builder ver.1.0, in the new theme Builder but its telling me that “Metadata has a wrong format.” when i paste the plain text i got from the old theme builder.
Is there a way to import the styling from the old theme builder into the new one?

    Hi mimo,

This will not be possible. The reason is that the new theme builder targets modern web browsers with CSS3 variables support. CSS3 variables are used by the new theme builder for styling our components. The old theme builder targets older web browsers which do not have CSS3 support.

    Hi mimo,

You can still use your old design. It is not necessary to recreate it. We have not changed things in the components regarding theming. The New Theme Builder is for building new themes and is appropriate for the case when you want to refresh your design. As we posted in our blog post about the Theme Builder, the previous version is still available and is still online. You can use it, too.

    Hi,
I was using custom theme builder. Now recently we have upgraded the jqwidget version to 8.0. I am facing the issue regarding :root in the css of custom theme builder, it doesn’t work like previous functionality and the jqx sets the default grey theme. Can anyone help me with this?

    Thank you,
    Aishwarya

    Hi Aishwarya,

The new theme builder and the new themes built with it requires a modern web browser with CSS3 variables support. If you are targeting old web browsers, you can still use the old theme builder here: https://jqwidgets.com/themebuilder-ver1.0/.
