actually, we are running 4.6.2 which i believe is the latest version. Am I wrong here?

NPM ver 4.6.2 is actually 4.5.2(if downloaded from this site). Now the latest version is 4.5.3(the npm is not yet updated). So download the package from our site.

Though I must admit this situation is a bit confusing 🙂 Is it always recommended to download jqwidgets manually (as opposed to using npm) or is it a temporarily situation?

i am using jqxLayout and after copying demo code I am getting error in jqwidget’s initdashboard data file.

`ERROR in node_modules/jqwidgets-framework/scripts/initdashboard.ts(39,29): error TS2304: Cannot find name ‘$’.

I almost checked everything but couldn’t find any error

Hello pratd,

I would suggest you to use jqwidgets-scripts for your angular applications, instead of jqwidgets-framework.

You can follow this Tutorial on how to set up your project.
