Hello all,
The Combobox is broken in Firefox 88.0.1 (64-bit) (on Fedora Linux). This is even the case for the demo-site. Initially it works fine, but after a while, especially after changing your browser to a different tab (and back), the combobox stops reacting on keyboard input.
This can be reproduced like this:
1) Create a fresh Firefox profile (so we have the default settings / plugins)
2) Start browser and goto https://www.jqwidgets.com/jquery-widgets-demo/demos/jqxcombobox/index.htm#demos/jqxcombobox/rendering.htm
3) Test #1 : Try the combobox demo, by typing “janet” and then “laura”. Yes! it is working fine.
4) Open a second tab in your browser
5) Switch back to the previous tab (jqwidgets.com)
6) Test #2 : Try the combox demo by typing “janet” or “laura”. Oops ! The combobox is not reacting to the keyboard input!
Nb. it is still possible to open the dropdown by mouse-click.Greetings,
MichielHi Michiel,
I tried to reproduce the issue that you encounter including with all the steps that you described, but without success.
Also I did tested it in other browsers than FF as well(Chromium, Safari, Edge) and it appears to work as intended.
I will discuss and test it further with my colleagues and will get back to you as soon as possible. Please, do not hesitate to contact us if you have any additional questions.

https://www.jqwidgets.comThanks for looking into this.
After step 6 (above) I also did:
Step 7) Reload the jqwidget demo-page (using CTRL-R)
Step 8) Test #3 : again you get the same fault (the combobox is not reacting to keyboard input.I also tested Firefox-87.0 (on Fedora Linux) and found the same faults.
I also tested Firefox-88.1 (on Windows 10) and here I could not reproduce the faults.Regards,
MichielHi Michiel,
Yes, it works on Windows 10, I will test it on Linux with the same Firefox version and if it is a bug we will create a work item for it and will fix it as soon as we can.
Please, do not hesitate to contact us if you have any additional questions.
