addItem does not add new items by group even when specified

I am having the same problem and a modified version of the jsfiddle also does not work.
Here is my modified example:

As you can see when you click add, it shows up below Group B at the end of the list even though it belongs in group A. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

*edit* I also wanted to add that using addItem to add to an empty combo box also results in no group even if group is specified. You can verify this by just commenting out what’s initialized in the source array.

Hi jzhanglsw,

addItem adds an item to the ComboBox. Yes, you cannot add a new item to a specific group. If you want to add groups or items to groups dynamically, then you’ll have to refresh the full source i.e set the widget’s source property.
