how to catch the tabindex when reopens a window?

Hi Boss,

when a windows have tabs inside, if i click on 2nd tab and then close window, it will be still stay on 2nd tab when i reopen this window. so can you advise how can i catch the tabindex(means 2) at this time (means when window is reopened)?

Hello africanfarmer,

You can store the currently selected tab in a variable by binding to the selected event:

var selectedTab = 0;
$('#jqxTabs').on('selected', function (event) {
    selectedTab = event.args.item;
});

The selectedTab variable will always contain the currently selected tab.

can we get the index not through by clicking the tab, but to get the default tab index? if i set the default tab 2, can i get the index when open window?
