I just turned off the 3D acceleration feature in the VMware video configuration an it now works. It was not the widget.

Actually I just tried it on Windows 8 running on native hardware and it seems to work ok. It must be a VMware video problem.

I believe it is related to your widget as several of the generated div nodes have position:absolute style attributes. This appears to be handled differently in IE. The same HTML works fine on Windows 8 in Firefox and Windows 7 with IE 10. Apparently not all IE 10s behave the same in the different Windows version although the Help About claim it is the same version. One other difference is my Windows 8 is running under VMware 10 and the Windows 7 version is on native hardware. Could this be it?
