Thanks for the reply.. i have one more question on same thing..

once i get the group.. i can access the subitems..
but then i want to update the cell value..at particular row index..
(basically i have added hidden columns which becomes visible.. and when user expand group.. i need to set proper cell values)
but i cant find proper row index to call ‘setcellvalue’ ? how can i find proper row index from group’s subitems ?

thanks for reply.. i tried using same approach.. and its working fine.. but it seems slow..

on a click on Button i am trying hide around 8 columns and showing another set of 8 columns..
but these new set of columns dont have any data… ( i am using group renderer.. so i calculate when a particular group is open)

is there anything i can do to improve performance.. or am i missing something ?

i am fine with filterable:true or false.. if column is not sortable nor filterable.. it should not even display that small downward pointing arrow..
(when you mouse over to column.. the small “down” icon comes to show filer/sort panel).. i want to hide that icon

i have the same requirement.. with slight change..

for default View : col1,col2 and col3 are visible..
but then for Admin view : i need col4,col5,col6 (new set of columns) so i would like to remove col1,col2 and col3 and add col4,col5 and col6..

is it possible to go that ?

sorry forgot to mention how to re-create issue.. after loading grid.. open both nodes (open entire tree)… and try to scroll… you will notice.. that its missing some cell values and row values.. if you open only one node at a time.. it performs pretty well…
also i again tried commenting out the grouprenderer function… but its same performance.. so i take my word back from previous post…Sorry about confusion..

here is the code… actually if i comment out groupRenderer function (override..) it performs pretty well.. but it returns “Header: ” .. i dont want text “header”.. sorry its long example.. since its too much data.. and also instead of json i am using array (converted from XML at runtime) but it has same problem.
