Hi Peter,
I understand your answer, and I appreciate your feedback, but it still is an annoying behaviour for end users using a trackpad.
My question is wether you are taking it as a bug or a recognised enhancement feature in your backlog, or wether your answer is more in the line of ‘there is no issue’?
(Sorry for pushing, it is meant as a constructive feedback)May 16, 2017 at 4:18 pm in reply to: mouse wheel scroll speed vs trackpad mouse wheel scroll speed vs trackpad #93649Hi Peter,
are you aware of the issue, or do you need a jsfiddle that demostrates it?

as I explained in my previous post the problem is a lot less with local data arrays, but when I switch back to a json datatype, loaded from a server-url or file, the problem is much worse. any luck in reproducing the issue?
Your colleague tells me you are not allowed to download zip files for security reasons.
I have created also a jsfiddle : https://jsfiddle.net/owgq5chq/1/Try is by double-clicking the ‘Lokaal’ column, and for example entering ‘3.0’ as the search string. The issues shows most prominent when the list opens upwards.

this is the jsfiddle : https://jsfiddle.net/owgq5chq/1/
Strangely enough I don’t see the described behaviour in the fiddle.
I have changed all my local references to my .js and .css files to exact the same ones as in the fiddle and the problem suddenly is a lot less frequent, but still reproducable in 1 row in the grid.
So to really reproduce it, you would need to download the zip, but I understand the security concern. As it stands, it is not reproducable on jsfiddle, but it is in the zip file.
I don’t know how get out of this deadlock.May 15, 2017 at 4:16 pm in reply to: mouse wheel scroll speed vs trackpad mouse wheel scroll speed vs trackpad #93609That’s a bit disappointing, since other widget libraries I’m evaluating don’t seem to show the same behaviour, and have normal scrolling speeds.
No known work-arounds?May 15, 2017 at 4:12 pm in reply to: jqxDropDownList closes instantly when you try to open it. jqxDropDownList closes instantly when you try to open it. #93608Hi Peter,
thanks for looking in this. Your jsfiddle indeed does not have the same issue.
This link allows you to download a minimal example that should allow you to reproduce the issue I’m seeing.
The issue will show in the Type and Status columns which are dropdownlists.https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwUu-lYy-WoERTE2ODVuUTRWZzg/view?usp=sharing
May 15, 2017 at 2:47 pm in reply to: mouse wheel scroll speed vs trackpad mouse wheel scroll speed vs trackpad #93604I seem to have the same problem using a trackpad on Mac OSX. The scrollspeed in all scrollable widgets is way too fast, making it virtually impossible to select something using a trackpad.

I seem to have to same problem when using a DropDownList as an editor in a Grid.
If you set the autoopen property is does open automatically as expected, but when you try to move the mouse inside the list, the dropdown automatically closes before you can make a choice.
If you, when the drop-down opens, first use the arrow keys to move around in the list, it is however possible to move the mouse in to the list. Are we doing something wrong?

thanks for looking into this.
This is a link to a zip file with a minimal example.
I have included the jqWidgets libraries I’m using (downloaded yesterday).
I have also included a screenshot where you can see the behaviour.https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwUu-lYy-WoEbnlkZU1rZVBxY28
I’m using Chrome Version 57.0.2987.133 (64-bit), on OSX Sierra 10.12.4
The problem shows when using a search with autocomplete in the ‘Lokaal’ column. -
