Datepicker jQuery UI widget has option to display “month and year menus”, a simple dropdowns in calendar header where user can quicky jump to desired year and month.

Is this (or similar) functionality planed for some future releases of jqWidgets DateTimeInput/Calendar?

    Hello pile,

This functionality is currently unavailable. We plan to extend jqxDateTimeInput and jqxCalendar in the future, but there are no plans for this feature as of now.

    Hi Dimitar,

    Thanks for quick answer.
I hope that this handy feature will find a way to jqWidgets’ future plans.

The lack of a month and year selector makes this control unusable in my applications.
    Please add the suggested features.

    Hi Guys,

Month and Year selection can be done via the keyboard in the jqxDateTimeInput’s input field. Click on an year and type a new year or press up/down key to increase/decrease the day part. The same is for the month, day, hour or any other day part.

    Hi Peter

I have to agree with Arnie’s comment. I require a datepicker to enter a students birthday so without a month / year drop down on the calendar heading I am not able to use the control. I have also had a problem using the standard jquery datepicker within a jqxWindow so it would be nice if you were able to include Month / Year selection into a future release.

Other than this minor lack in functionally of the jqxDateTimeInput control I have to complement you and your team on an incredible set of controls and functionality you have put together. I am currently developing an application for our local school and using your set of controls has decreased development time and added functionality to the project that otherwise would not have been possible.

    Thanks
    Jonathan
