MaxHeight and positioning for Dropdowns listbox

Hello,

I would be interested if there is any workaround to specify a maxHeight for the dropdowns listbox in order to use autoHeight, but limit at a certain height(in case the nr. of items is large)

Also i would be particularly interested if you plan to make the listbox “smarter” and make him aware where it is positioned in a container/view?
In this moment it is rendered all the time downwards from the div it is attached, even if some of its elements will not be visible to the user(div is in the bottom of the page)

Hi Distvan,

Try this like a workaround.

You can set some value about the dropDownHeight plus autoDropDownHeight:true.
In some conditions autoDropDownHeight goes false and the widget uses the number value for rendering.

Thanks for the idea, it’s really a simple and nice one.

Now, I am only interested if the positioning of the popup lists will be solved by the JQ team or it needs some workarounds as well.

The widget has a property enableBrowserBoundsDetection.
