jqxGrid – loader.gif (loading image) not being displayed Chrome and Explorer

Hi,

Do you know why the style
\jqwidgets-ver2.2\jqwidgets\styles\jqx.base.css
background-image: url(../resources/loader.gif);

is not being loaded in Chrome and IE browser? Any setting I may need to change?

Hi blinkins0n,

The image is displayed if the data is loading via ajax and is not yet downloaded from the server. If the data is loaded it is not displayed. It works with any browser on my side. You can test in on our web site, too by clicking the Binding to XML demo. If the data is not downloaded or cached, you should see the loader image. You can see my simple test with the Chrome browser:

Hi Peter,

you’re right. Your examples work. They also work on my end.

The problem comes when I insert some ASP.net controls in the body of my file .aspx

For example:

I have the same issue with internet explorer. With Firefox works just fine.

Do you think there’s a solution for that problem?

PS: I thought about building my own “loading effect” with a floating thickbox or something like that.

I can see the loading image with IE, too. The loader image is displayed if the data is loading via ajax and is not yet downloaded from the server. Would you send us a sample to support@jqwidgets.com which demonstrates that as I am unable to reproduce it with any browser.

It’s fixed.

it was due to a wrong attribute “async” on the source object. It works perfectly now.
