Is Global Filtering Possible ?

Hi,

Is it possible to define a global filtering criteria ? In other words: to define a filter that show all rows where anwhere on the row a given text fragment occurs ?

I want to define an input field where the user can enter text and immediately have the grid filter down to show only those rows that contain the text that is being entered by the user.

Hi,

If I understand the API correctly: since I want to filter for rows that match one substring I must construct one filter definition per each column and then combine them all with OR. I was hoping for something simpler because this is not such an unlikely use case, but will give it a try today.
