    Hi,
I am learning to use the widgets. When the widget is waiting for remote data, the internal ‘Loading’ widget will be brought up. I think it is an useful widget as the others although it is not formally released. I would like to take advantage of it when the server side operation takes time if it can be done.

How can I do it? (Could you consider to release it as a formal widget? Something similar to the )

    Best regards,
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

We do not have such widget. We have loading indicator in the Grid, TreeGrid and DataTable and it is an Animated Loading GIF.

Thanks for the reply. I thought there is such an internal loader widget.

I use blockUI jquery plugin to block UI operation for lengthy server operation. It has its loading GIF. They are similar to each other but still looks different.

I am thinking that it will be very useful if jqWidget product can include such a widget or plugin. Not only the appearance of loader GIFs can be more consistent but also it is common code to handle the situation that the server side code takes time to complete.

May I suggest such a widget?

    Hi Michael Wu,

Our widgets already provide indicator for server side code which takes time to complete. You may look at these in our online demos, especially the Grid’s demos. Regarding the suggestion – thank about it. We will consider whether to add or not such thing in future.
