how to save the single cell edited text in databse using the grid

hi,
i have a problem while editing the data in the single cell value ,for example
my grid is like
name address
sudarshan nepal
i want to change the nepal from the grid view what can i do

Hi,

When the value of a cell is changed, the jqxGrid will raise the “cellvaluechanged” event. Inside the event handler, you can make Ajax call to your server and synchronize the cell value with your DB.

$("#jqxGrid").on('cellvaluechanged', function (event) 
{
    var column = args.datafield;
    var row = args.rowindex;
    var value = args.newvalue;var oldvalue = args.oldvalue;
