How to re-arrange column programmatically?

Hi,

The new jqwidget version supports “column move” feature, which is very good. Now my users want my data table and grid to remember the positions of the columns and display the columns in the same order that they were the last time.

I have no problem to save the order of the columns when a table/grid is close with the page. But I don’t know how (or if it is possible) to set the column position dynamically.

Please advise.

Hi dqninh09,

There’s no such option in jqxDataTable. Such is available only in jqxGrid.

Hi, is there a way to get an array holding the displayed order of the columns ?
also, i’d like to access similar arrays for the user’s entries into the advanced search filter boxes.
i could dig around the DOM, but its not a reliable method
