how to prevent a modal window to close if Esc is pressed

Hi everyone!

I’ve been trying to avoid a JqxWindow to close if the ESC key is pressed. I did this:

   this.windowRef.on('keypress', (evt) => {
      let event = evt.originalEvent;

      if (event.keyCode === 27) {
        event.preventDefault();
        event.stopPropagation();
    
        // and also did this   
    
        evt.preventDefault();
        evt.stopPropagation();
      }
    });

Unsuccessfully. Is there a way to prevent the window close when ESC is pressed?
