If a time input is formatted for 12-hour clock display (e.g., format string ‘t’), entering an hour value between 0 and 11 automatically sets the AM/PM designator to AM, and entering a value between 12-23 automatically sets the designator to PM. It does not seem possible to enter a value between 1 and 12 and then change the designator to AM or PM as desired.

Is this correct, or is there a way to enter time using a 12-hour clock representation (it seems unintuitive to have an AM/PM designator and require input in 24-hour time)?

    Hi Marc,

The described behavior for AM/PM is by design. We will consider whether to change it in a future version.
