Is there a way to set font-family and font-size at the body so all widgets get this information?

    Hi David,

Fonts are defined in the CSS files of the themes and to change them, you will have to edit the CSS files.

Guess I thought you would address this with how jqWidgets uses cascading styles derived from the base document styles and or best practices for jqWidgets.

    Hi David,

The widgets have Themes which you can easily customize either through the Theme Builder tool or by editing a few CSS properties. A Theme applied to a widget is supposed to display the Theme’s style, not a Style inherited from somewhere else.
