Default sort on multiple columns in Jqgrid

Hi – Is there any way we can define more than one columns for default sort?

I want to default sort my grid by column1 and column2. Below is my code where i am sorting with one column – this.trimAlias(this.defaultSort)

this.source = {
localdata: this.displayData,
datatype: ‘json’,
sortcolumn: this.trimAlias(this.defaultSort),
sortdirection: ‘asc’,
mapChar: ‘.’,
datafields: this.getDataFields()
};
