Better vertical scrollbar to use for Grid?

We are using a large grid with 15 columns. No matter what screen is available, the grid is just going to be too big for the screen no matter what, so we need to implement scroll bars.

The grid’s built-in scroll bars have been working for the past three years without many complaints.

Now I have been told that I need to improve the scroll bars.

The best idea I have, so far, would be to take something like this:

…and put it in an iframe of some sort:

I’m open for better ideas.

Can you clarify what do you mean by improving the scrollbars?
Why would you use an iframe?

Sure:

One of the complaints that we have is that because the table is so long, horizontally and vertically, using the mouse scroll button to move up and down the screen, actually moves the grid to the left and right.

One of the other complaints is when clicking on the horizontal bar, it doesn’t snap to that exact location on the grid.

We have also received some requests to see if we can have a horizontal scrollbar at the top of the grid.

As for the iFrame, it was only one idea that I had. I’m pretty sure there are better ideas out there.
