Auto-adjust column width

Is there a method to auto-resize the columns widths so the columns take the entire space available all the way from left edge of the grid to the right?
With only few columns there is too much of the empty unused space as the columns are all placed toward the left edge.
The autoresizecolumns() method autoresizes the columns widths based on the cell context and not across the available space in the grid.

You could set the columns width in percentages.
