Adjust width columns to the conten of cells

I have a grid. I don’t know the witdh of each column, and for that reason, I can’t specify the width when I define the colums, so I’d like to adjust them with the maximum size of the content of each cells.

I’m trying with:

$('#gridR').jqxGrid('autoresizecolumns','cells');  

But It doesn’t work properly.

Could anyone help me? Thanks in advance
