    Hi all,

    when I try to group by one of the columns, I get a TypeError: Q being undefined in jqxgrid.grouping.js.

    line 225:
    var r = H[M];

    The JavaScript Debbuger says for the Grouping Example:

    H: Array[11]
     0: Object
      group: "Germany"
      level: 0
      subgroups: Array[0]
       length: 0
       __proto__: Array[0]
         length:0
       toSource: toSource()
       toString: toString()
    ...

    while in my case it says:

    H: Array[20]
     0: Object
      group: "NAS Terrastation"
      level: 0
      subgroups: Array[0]
       length: 0
       __proto__: Array[0]
         toJSON: undefined		N
         length:0
       toSource: toSource()
       toString: toString()

    This leads to subGroup=”toJSON” and to a TypeError: Q being undefined in lines 196 and 197:

    for (subGroup in R.subGroups) {
    	var Q = R.subGroups[subGroup];

    All this happens since I updated from version 3.9.1 to 4.1.2 – with 3.9.1 it was working with the same code. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,
    ctis

    Hi ctis,

    We don’t see any errors in our grouping examples on our website. I would suggest you to check your data if you try to use it.

    Best Regards,
