Text area doesn't get vertical scroll until I edit

I have a simple text area that I’m loading with overflow text but I’m not getting a vertical scroll until I place the cursor inside and remove a char or do any other editing. When I first load it it does not have any scrolls and the contents appear truncated.

$(‘#acctViewEditBasicDlgAccountNoteId’).jqxTextArea({ height: 60, width: 240, theme: THEME });

I’m using jqwidgets version 4.5.1

I tested this example below and it seems to work fine:

I type new text on new rows and in one moment the vertical scrollbar is appearing.
It is with the latest version of the jQWidgets.
We recommend using the latest version of jQWidgets: http://www.jqwidgets.com/download/
Could you provide us an example that demonstrates this issue?

I’m setting val on that text area with overflow text. It’s not me typing as you are doing above. After I set val I should expect to see a vertical scroll and I don’t. Please try to reproduce that scenario. Thank you.
