    hello – up front, let me say that using jqComboBox has saved me untold weeks of work.

    is there any way we can run some sort of “verify” before an item is removed?

    for example, user clicks the “X” – can we run a jScript procedure behind the scenes to stop the remove?

    i realize we can probably reinsert it, but i wanted to check first.

    thanks again for providing such useful widgets.

    sorry i should have asked if there is any way to prevent an unselect from occurring.

    something like this did not work:

    $('#jqxComboBox').on('unselect', function (event) {
       return false; // does not work, but i am experimenting
    })

    Hello edwardsmarkf,

    There is no such built-in option, unfortunately.
    The simplest way to achieve such behavior is after the item is unselected to return it back with the selectItem method.
    Also, please, take a look at this example.

    Best Regards,
