Issue with Context-Menu on Firefox (Scroll Up)

Good day,

I have an issue with the context menu.

When I open your Context-Menu-Demo in Firefox and scroll down, so that I don’t see the whole gray box, and then I do right click, the context menu opens and firefox scrolls up so the whole gray box is visible.

Is this on purpose? In my case I have a large grid where I include context-menus and when I click one of the items at the bottom of the grid to open the menu Firefox scrolls all the way up.

Has this issue been resolved? I just discovered this today. Whenever “open” is called on a context menu in Firefox (not other browsers), the browser scrolls to the top, but the context menu opens in the correct place. Then the user needs to scroll all the way back down.

My grid is “below the fold” on the page, so this basically makes the menu unusable.

I guess FF ignores the return false of the mousedown function. You my look at: http://jsfiddle.net/dgp8k0qt/ as a solution.

Thanks, I should be able to make a workaround this way. Hopefully there will be a way for you to work around it directly in the app.

Also note, that your workaround did not fix it if the menu was already open and you right-click again. I presume this is due to the closing animation running. I worked around that by calling this before opening the menu:

if (usersContextMenu.is(":visible"))
                usersContextMenu.hide();
