I have a square button with a + or – in it.
They appear to be well above center when no font size is selected.
<div id='jqxButton' class="moreInfo">+</div>
Setting a font size can make it appear above or below center. Any suggestions to guarantee the ‘+’ shows up exactly centered regardless of font size?
The text will be centered if you initialize the button from a button or input (
type="button") tag. Initializing from a div is actually not supported.
Not true. I have a button initialized from an input type=button. i set the width (50) and height (20) in the $(“#jqxbtnxyz”).jqxButton initialization code, to make a smaller button, and a small font size using a style in the input tag, but the button text sits at the bottom and is partially cut off at the bottom. It is as if the button itself is sized smaller, but the text is lying inside of it as if it was the default button height.
It’s pretty old topic for very old version of the Button. Now, you can position text where you wish: http://www.jqwidgets.com/jquery-widgets-demo/demos/jqxbutton/button-text-position.htm?light
