Grid filter 'Does not contain' issue

Hi,

I am having an issue with jQxGrid ‘Does not contain filter’ on jQWidgets v4.2.1.

Please have a look at this fiddle.:

On applying ‘does not contain’ filter on ‘Last Name’ with value ‘value2’, I was expecting 2 records which do not contain ‘value2’ but I am getting only one record. Records with a null value for filtered column are getting skipped by ‘does not contain’ filter.

Why it is ignoring empty values. Is it a bug in this version or expected behaviour!

Thank you for the feedback.
I would like to suggest you as a temporary solution to create another field for the column with empty cells (or just replace the null value with ‘ ‘).
You could achieve this with beforeLoadComplete callback function of the jqxDataAdapter.

I didn’t get your answer. After changing the null value to ”, the result is same.

Can you please provide me updated fiddle.

Got the point. It is regarding empty space not just quote.

I’m having this issue too. In my data, a field can be Y or it can be N or null, those last two should be considered equivalent, so a filter set up for “does not contain Y” should match everything except that value, but it’s also filtering out empty values, which is not the expected default behavior.
