dropdown have title tag?

In dropdown, user selected a value. That value width is larger than dropdown width, so i need to display the value once user mouseover on it. So for this do we have dropdown with title tag?

Thanks. In your above example the dropdown list all values have title tag. But i am asking after user selected a value, that value should show in dropdown selected item with title tag or tooltip.

Hi Siva,

Then you can simply update the DropDownList DIV tag’s “title” attribute when the selection is changed. For example, bind to the “change” event of the DropDownList and inside it use the jQuery’s attr method to update the “title” attribute.

Thanks and one more issue. In InternetExplorer browser, suppose dropdownlist is in last field(near to bottomline of the page). Once you click on it, will open with UI jumping issue. Is they anyway to restrict this UI jumping?

Hi Siva,

You can turn on the enableBrowserBoundsDetection property. When it is set to true, the DropDown will be displayed above the button.

yes peter, it will work fine in chrome and mozilla browser. But in IE it wont work… :-(, that’s the issue.
