Creating data adapter in typescript

Using typescript I still seem to have to create my data adapter like this:
var daMain = new $.jqx.dataAdapter(datasource …..

I was expecting to do it like this:
var daMain = jqwidgets.jqxDataAdapter = jqwidgets.createInstance(…..

But you don’t seem to have jqwidgets.jqxDataAdapter

Like you can with a button:
var btnSave: jqwidgets.jqxButton =
jqwidgets.createInstance(‘#btnSave’, ‘jqxButton’, {
width: 120,
height: 40,
……
});

Yes, you are right. This is the way for creating the data adapter.
Unfortunately, there is not such type defined.
