Change columns array to another array of same length

I am able to change columns of a `<jqx-grid></jqx-grid>’ via the jqx-columns attribute directive by changing the watched scope variable. This only works, however, if the current and new columns array are different lengths. Evidently, there is no deep watching of that collection.

Is there a better way to do a same-length column array substitution for an existing grid?
