Is there a way to cancel the actual upload of files after the “upload all” button has been pressed? I am handling some validation in the uploadStart event handler and would like to cancel the upload if the form is not valid. I have tried the cancelAll method, but this does not prevent the upload. Even destroy does not prevent the upload from taking place, however I don’t want to destroy the element.
Unfortunately, once the upload has started, it cannot be cancelled by the jqxFileUpload control. We suggest you make your validation server-side and cancel the upload operation from there. You can also return an “error” message from the server, which will be received as the argument response of the event uploadEnd. Our sample upload-handling PHP file, imageUpload.php, contains such a validation. You can find its source code in the jqxFileUpload API Documentation, under uploadUrl.
Thanks for your reply. We will work around it. Would you guys possibly consider developing this functionality in a future update? It would be very helpful, seeing that jQWidgets is great for MVVM frameworks.
