Button that disables/enables Tab Reorder makes the tabs not respond

Hello,
I have X tabs and i have a button that disables/enables the reordering of Tabs.
At start, the tab reordering is disabled.
Clicking on a button, the reordering is enabled and they can be clicked.
After this i do tab reordering and click the button to disable reordering of tabs.
From now on i can’t click on another tab – i have to enable editing again.
Does anyone have an idea how can this be resolved?
