    Hi,

    I experienced a bug in your grid.
    We want to rename “Please choose” in the filterrow dropdown lists to “All”.

    What I did and which worked perfectly was to use the “createfilterwidget” callback property in the column definition and I specified “convertPleaseChooseToAll” as callback function.

    function convertPleaseChooseToAll(column, columnElement, widget) {
    widget.jqxDropDownList(‘updateItem’, { label: “All”, value: “Please Choose:” }, “Please Choose:”);
    }

    Like I said, works perfect.
    But I have some external filters outside the grid which will be applied with:
    $(“#jqxgrid”).jqxGrid(‘applyfilters’);

    But after that call “Please choose” is back in the DropDownList?!
    Why is applyfilters effecting this anyway, but if for some miracle reason it have to, than please call the createfilterwidget callback in this scenario also!

    Kind regards

    Hi NoiZy,

    Renaming should be done through the Grid’s localization, not by creating custom filter widget. You should not use createfilterwidget for modifying existing widgets.

    Maybe there is in this particular case a more elegant way, but that is no reaction on the issue I mention!

    Please fix this because, there are some other scenarios where I want to modify the filter widget, for example the DatePicker not in just localization settings, I want to configure things different.

    And why do you write a great createfilterwidget callback parameter, which gets the widget as parameter (What is great by the way) and then tell me I should not use it, make no sense.

    So me wish is, that you fix this problem, one way would be that applyfilter doesn’t effect my widgets or that createfilterwidget is called again.

    Kind regards
