I am testing all jqwidgets features. The charting is perfect and meet all our requirements.
The only missing part is the automated report generation. The charts can be saved to images using a button.
Is there any way to automatically generate the graph from a script running on the back-end without the need for human intervention?
(i.e. some feature like GNUplot )
As you may see from the demo Live Updates, there does not need to be a user intervention for the chart to update automatically.
If you wish images to be generated automatically, just call the saveAsJPEG or saveAsPNG method whenever you wish that to happen (there is no need to do this in a button click event handler).
Perhaps I was not clear in my description.
There is a java process running in the background that sends reports by mail every day.
I want to attach the chart as picture to the mail.
Is there any way to generate the image from the backed without a browser to attach it to the mail?
Unfortunately, this cannot be achieved.
Any new features released to achieve the automated reports generation?
If not, and if we want to ask you for a product customization, what is the process?
Unfortunately, such a feature is still not available. If you wish to request it, please contact our Sales Department at email@example.com.
