Property 'jqx' does not exist on type 'JQueryStatic'

Hi I am new to jqx and fairly new to angular. I am currently testing out jqx and for the most part like what I see. I am however unable to resolve an issue when trying to integrate data (or any of your jquery based scripting). I get the following error and cannot see an obvious resolution.

Property ‘jqx’ does not exist on type ‘JQueryStatic’

I see that there was a previous entry in your forum but no solution was included.

I do not think that you guys use the latest version because in it window.jqx is defined. My suggestion is: use http://www.jqwidgets.com/angular-components-documentation/documentation/create-jqwidgets-angular-app/index.htm?search=
